Lots of teens and moms ask me about including additional photos of family or friends in their senior pictures session. Some want to include their furry friends as well. To this I say absolutely we should do that!
Include a family picture with your senior photos
While capturing this important time in your life, Mom & Dad might like to grab a few shots of the whole family together before you head off to school. This is totally doable! Let me know in advance. The way I like to handle this is to plan 10-15 minutes either at the beginning or end of your session to capture just a few frames. That way we don’t have to tie up everyone’s schedule for the entire 2 hour session.

Include your best friends in your senior session
Your friends are such a huge part of your high school career. They’ve been there for you through all the ups and downs and you can’t imagine life without them. All your best memories include them! So why not have your very best friends in your senior photo session?
Like a family photo, we can plan about 15 minutes either at the beginning or end of your session to capture some fun images you and your 2-3 best friends together.
I also offer specialty sessions aimed at capturing friendships. These are 90% documentary-style photographs. The session is designed to capture your special bond in places your group would typically hang out. These highly customized sessions include a keepsake photo book for each person, filled with special quotes and memories from each friend. I call them my sentiments sessions and you can check them out over here if you’re interested.
Include your dog or pet
Our pets are part of our family. They give and receive so much love. It makes sense that some seniors want to include them in their photo session! So when they ask my answer is ABSOLUTELY! There are a few things we can do to make this go as smoothly as possible.
- I’ll need to know you’ll be bringing your pet
- We’ll have to make sure our location is pet-friendly
- Keep you fur-baby leashed at all times
- Come prepared to clean up any messes
- Bring someone along to handle your pup or take them home when he/she is done with photos
