When it came to her senior pictures, Molly knew what she wanted.
1. A field of sunflowers
2. Her home softball field and uniform
3. Her dogs
I was excited to make this happen for her, so while Molly set about finding the perfect outfits, I went to work locating a field of sunflowers. A little Facebook networking pointed me to the west shore. I took an afternoon to check them out and reported back to Molly and her mom, Julie. One of the fields was close to a trendy shopping center with upscale store fronts that to add variety to our session. This was our spot!
Fast forward to “game day”. Molly had her hair and makeup done professionally and was looking amazing, but the weather report was not as beautiful.
As we got on the road the raindrops started and when we crossed the river, the dark clouds unleashed their full fury on Julie’s little SUV. We joked and laughed nervously and I have to say that I was thinking, “There is no way this is going to work out for us today!”
But As we neared our sunflower field the sky cleared, leaving just enough cloud cover and perfectly diffused light. We were pretty much giddy with relief!
The following week we met up at Palmyra High School in the early evening. Molly and Julie had their two sweet pups in tow. Meet Roxy and Wilson! We spent a little time with each fur-baby then got in a few of Molly with both of them. Look at all that puppy love! These two fur babies MIGHT be a little spoiled… um, I mean well loved!
After capturing Molly with Roxy and Wilson, we moved on to her home softball field to capture Molly’s athletic side. Go Cougars!
I love the variety we got with Molly by doing sessions in 2 different locations and that we were able to capture the things that are most important to her at this point in her life!
As I write this, Molly is soon finishing her freshman year of college in sunny Florida. I’m so excited to see where you go and what you do Molly! Keep on Rockin’ it!
